Virtual Summer Chess Camp
July 7, 2022 | Category: Events, Fundraisers
Have kids between 2nd and 8th grade? Want to have them understand the game of chess? Here’s the chance and it is all to benefit a great cause! This course is designed to teach the fundamentals to intermediate chess skills. Instructor Anish Pallod, an 8th grade graduate aims to help creative minds explore the realm of chess, and support people in need. After a grueling pandemic, organizations need support to continue their pursuit of helping society. The goal of this camp is to teach kids chess for one week, virtually. Anish will start off by covering the basics that some students may be a little familiar with. From that starting point, you will learn about the stalemate, cover important forced checkmates, and learn about tactics.
