Drug Take-Back Program
July 7, 2021 | Category: News
The Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs has ways for you to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. For a list of take-back locations, click here.
Drugs accepted include over-the-counter medications; prescription medications, patches, and ointments; vitamins; and pet medicines. When dropping off items for disposal please make sure that all prescribed medicines are contained inside their original bottle or placed inside a sealed container or zip-lock bag with the personal information removed or marked over with a permanent marker.
Always keep in mind that you should lock up all your medications at home and never share them with anyone or take anyone else’s medications. Many people who are or become addicted to prescription drugs take them from medicine cabinets. Please do the responsible thing by locking them up!
