Experienced leader to manage a team that responds to approximately 46,000 calls annually.
Cetronia Ambulance Corps is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Frey as the new Director of Operations. Frey brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, and we are excited that she has joined the team.
Frey has a strong background in emergency services and has been a leader in the field since 2011. She has a proven track record of success in managing complex operations and delivering high-quality services to the communities she has served.
What makes this appointment even more special is that Carrie has family ties to our organization. Carrie’s parents served as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) with Cetronia in the 1980s. As a child, Carrie would often be found roaming the halls of the old Broadway station location. Having a deep understanding of our mission and values, we are confident that she will help us continue to provide the best possible care to our community.
Frey had been with Western Berks Ambulance where she served as the deputy chief since 2011. She also continues to serve as a paramedic at Muhlenberg Area Ambulance Association. Carrie has been a member of Taskforce 10-87, a confidential therapeutic service for EMS/Fire/Police/First Responders, since 2018 and on the board of Eastern PA EMS Council since 2020. Frey completed the Ambulance Service Manager Program held by Fitch and Associates in 2021 and has been through several national programs for specialized training within the EMS industry. Frey holds numerous credentials including certifications for Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) General Industry Safety and Health, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Managing Paramedic Officer (MPO), and Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO). She also serves as a Stop-the-Bleed and EMS instructor and is autism certified.
The director of operations position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, coordination, and management covering the day-to-day operations of advanced and basic level ambulance service operating in emergency and non-emergency settings and paratransit services.
“We are thrilled that Carrie has joined our team,” said Robert Mateff Sr., Chief Executive Officer, Cetronia Ambulance Corps. “Carrie’s experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve as an organization.”
Carrie is excited to take on this new role and is looking forward to working with the dedicated team at Cetronia Ambulance Corps. “I am honored to be joining such a respected organization,” said Ms. Frey. “I am committed to upholding the high standards that Cetronia Ambulance Corps has set and to ensuring that we continue to provide the best possible care to our community.“
